Course Description: This workshop is a practical, skills-focused workshop designed for therapists who want to enhance their ability to help clients overcome “stuckness”, avoidance, and depressive patterns through purposeful action. Grounded in behavioral theory, this training covers the essential components of Behavioral Activation (BA) and how to deliver it effectively in diverse clinical populations using a trauma-informed lens.

Participants will learn how to integrate core BA strategies such as activity monitoring, values exploration and problem-solving to support client motivation and engagement. This workshop blends evidence-based practice with clinical wisdom to empower therapists in guiding clients from stagnation toward meaningful movement.

Instructor Information: Angela L. Belleville, LMHC, LPCC, LCPC, leads with over two decades of experience in trauma-focused behavioral health. As a licensed clinician in California, Massachusetts, and Maine, Angela has trained and supervised hundreds of providers in trauma-informed care and advanced cognitive therapies. Angela specializes in PTSD treatment and is highly trained and certified in leading, research-backed approaches, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), EMDR (including EMDR 2.0), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and other trauma-focused CBT modalities. Her training and consulting partnerships have included Healing Abuse Working for Change (HAWC), Boston College , National Association of Social Workers (NASW) NY Chapter, Private Practice Colloquium, FireFly Health, Eliot Community Human Services, University of Albany, LightWorks, Wellable Co. and more.
