Lights Camera Pivot: Entertainment Industry Career Pivot Support Group

The joy felt in a career in entertainment is real and the sadness felt during the industry downturn is real too. In considering options, it can be overwhelming to try and decide how to pivot into a new industry. We can feel like our whole identity and purpose is lost to the whims of studios.

In this skills and support group, we will gather as entertainment industry professionals looking to regain a sense of self, grieve what we’ve lost and identify possibilities beyond film industry work. Filled with lots of time for discussion, support and skills building, each week focuses on a different moment related to the theme of navigating a reluctant career change.

Details

  • When: 8-week group, next group starting right after Labor Day 2026! Group will either be held Mondays 3-4:30pm or Saturdays 1-2:30pm, dependent on consensus

  • Who: 8-10 industry professionals that have experienced similar levels of job loss and are looking into other career possibilities

  • How Much: $50 per group, paid in 2 installments of $200
